Join this group of dedicated volunteers to run the tech media equipment behind the scenes! We need help in all areas and your enthusiasm (along with our training) will set you up for success.
On Sunday’s, our focus is mainly on the morning worship services, running the sound board mix and the monitor board as well as cueing up the headset mics for any of the speakers on the platform. Beginning opportunities will be in learning the platform set up with their media needs for the morning and Wednesday services.
On any Sunday morning or large event at GMC, there are opportunities to work with the video crew in areas such as camera operations, shading and video directing. Our computer graphics ministry falls under this category too and we welcome those interested in creating backgrounds for the lyrics that go on the large screens as well operating the computer that generates the lyrics for all screens.
Our lighting team will be responsible for lighting the stage and creating special lighting effects during services and special productions. The team also maintains the lighting equipment. A Lighting Director is used for every service and special production or event. On occasion an assistant Lighting Director will be used and for special events follow spot operators are used.
During Sunday services this team calls the cues for the morning helping coordinate between the Audio/Video/Lighting. During special productions there may be a need for several cue directors and helping backstage as Production Assistant or Stagehands.
